Why does the blog keep changing colors?

The Catholic Church has it's own special calendar which marks special seasons and holy days.  These seasons are reflected in the decorations of our church and altar as well as the vestments our priests and deacons wear.  During special seasons such as Advent and Lent, the physical church transforms and moves to a purple (and on two special occasions "rose" or as we like to call it: pink) color scheme.  During the time between these seasons where we do not celebrate a special feast or holy day of obligation, the church is dressed in a green color.  Our Holy Days are marked with the color of White.

To reflect this, I try to keep the blog in a color scheme to match the current seasons in our church's calendar, and in fact am not doing it just to annoy you.
